“My work is an imaginative telling of myths, stories and dreams. I draw my images from multiple sources, but there are strong animal motifs running through my work. This comes from my deep love of animals, and my strong sense of affinity with the natural world. I like to create a sense of drama between my characters. The figures in the image talk to each other thus creating a dynamic world within the image. There is always a mystery for the viewer to muse on and interpret for themselves.
My paintings show a love of colour, although my prints are mostly monochrome which I feel emphasises the drama of the story.”
