“I am a Sydney based artist. My major fascination is with the beauty of decay in the world of nature. As a child I began my search for the secrets of nature. This has been the pivotal point for the exploration and direction of my life and art.
There is a limitless range of elements to explore in the decomposition of the natural world. For example colour, shape, size, texture. I use textiles, paper, paint, dyes and inks to portray the natural process of decay and regeneration.
I am fascinated by the way decaying objects are utilised by living creatures for support, food and shelter. These are only noticed by detailed observation. Thus my art involves walking in different landscapes, photographing, sketching and collecting.”
