Bronwyn Austen
“‘Somehow everything becomes interesting, because you’re looking at it’. David Hockney said this about Van Gogh’s way of looking at the world, and it’s pretty true. That’s what first made me become a science teacher I guess, and now keeps me drawing and painting and making prints. Lately the subject matter has been Antarctica, a beautiful and intriguing place, as well as how to transition from my habitual realism to a more abstract view, an absorbing project.”
