“My art practice has until this point been intensely personal and hidden. My public face as a designer has enabled me to explore my work as an artist unhindered … without any outwardly prescribed reason. Much of my work explores transition and emotional histories hidden and interwoven with identity.
After a recent life changing event I am now transitioning to a full time artist. I am currently working on a body of work exploring the expression of impossibly contrasting emotional play in simultaneous juxtaposition. Focus being on capturing the moment of impossible connection and disconnection rather than narrative. While not showing these new works in this show (2023 Open Studios), I have put together a few items to share my world as an artist in studio and my process. I also invite conversation with galleries and people in general with an interest in chatting and connection.”
