Paul Rhodes

Paul Rhodes is an artist focussing on expressionism and activism through art in a variety of forms. Firstly, reflecting his role as an academic in Psychology he explores affect, existentialism and internal landscapes, drawing on religious metaphors and imagery. Secondly, reflecting his role as researcher for The Sydney Environment Institute, he explores issues related to the climate crisis, specifically emotion, post-humanism and community-based public art events.

He has exhibited at a wide range of galleries, including Gallery H at Dargan, Rex-Livingston, The Tap Gallery, The Art Centre of Sydney, The Braemar Gallery, Mothership Studios and others. He has also been active in community art events including The Big Anxiety Festival and Nature Feelz.
