Loris began her art studies under the tutelage of well-known contemporary Sydney artists in the early 1990's. In 1995she undertook more formal studies by enrolling in a fine art courses at Sydney’s St. George TAFE.
On completion of her training she travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas.
Loris’s artistic practice is based upon her observations of and intense reactions to the rich diversity within landscapes. She uses mixed media, including painting in watercolour, oils and acrylics to create landscapes; real and imagined.
Loris has exhibited extensively in Australia and also internationally.
Loris has been selected for several artists in residence programs in Australia and overseas. These include: Jenolan Caves, N.S.W., Cudgegong Gallery, N.S.W., and on two occasions she has been artist in residence at Gullkistan in south east Iceland.
Loris has received awards for her art and her commissioned works and works purchased at exhibition appear in public and private collections in Australia and overseas.
